My name’s Ruth, I’m the one writing this blog.
I was given the wonderful gift of life on the 21st of August 2000. I was born and raised here in Germany. Little did I know, that God was alreday preparing my first testimony just 3 days after my birth… The doctors told my parents that I had an incongenital heart failure and that I wouldn’t get older than just 3 months – but God didn’t spoke His last word.
Today, 19 years later, I’m still alive, living in a city somewhere in North Rhine- Westphalia and immensely blessed with a wonderful, BIG family: 5 Brothers and 2 Sisters !!! A patchwork family, the very best if you ask me!
My parents both come from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Right now I am studying law at university. Getting to know people – getting to know you is my absolute favourite.
If I had 3 words to describe myself, I’d choose: joyful, pretty open and…eager to learn. ( Yeah, it took me 5 minutes to find the perfect word ). Oh, I don’t know if you’ve already noticed it, but I LOVE English!! – Don’t ask me why! I just love this language. I remember starting to watch CNN by the age of 1, probably. That’s when it all began…
By the way, did I mention that I speak 4 languages – German, of course, English, French and my mother tongue Lingala – fluently? Okayyy, my Lingala isn’nt that fluent yet. But I’m working on it!
God’s been teaching me many, many things during these past months and He’s not finished teaching me yet, but I wanna share everything He teaches me with you, my friend, here. You know, I’m nobody special and I do not know much about life – except of all those things God showed me this past few months – but I wanna share those little things I know with you here, because ”The little things are infinitely the most important.”, am I right, or am I right?
Okay, I’m writing too much. I know, I know, I’m here typing this essay about the ‘who’ beyond this blog while you just can’t wait to finish reading and go – discover the blog, or getting to know the real story behind this blog… Don’t worry, that’s it for now:
Enjoy the rest of the trip!
HASTA LA VISTA, DUDE!
