“Self care is care provided “for you, by you.” It’s about identifying your own needs and taking steps to meet them. It is taking the time to do some of the activities that nurture you. Self care is about taking proper care of yourself and treating yourself as kindly as you treat others.

Guys, self care is a process. It’s something you need do everyday. The same way you take your time to dress up every morning you need to take some time for yourself.

If you ever wanna be the person you were created to be, if you ever want to live life to the fullest – learn t take care of yourself. In an age where social media takes over our lifes and we start to compare ourselves, our lifestyles, just everything with anyone else it’s so important to take our time and learn how to be self-confident from within.

You know, if you ever want to truly be able to love others – start to love yourself first.

You can’t love others until you love yourself first.

Start being kind to yourself, start to accept yourself.

By this guys, I mean to really accept yourself the way you are. You know, it’s astonishing how society tells us to embrace yourself and accept yourself the exact way you are, but still creates stereotypes and expects you to make them your ideal.

I just realized how this stereotype even manipulated what I thought what is beautiful. Edges laid or not, baby hair down or not, thigh gap or not, and or not, tanned or not we truly need to learn to accept ourselves and stay true to who we are. People claim to “accept themselves”, but do everything they can to lay down their edges and have the baby hair down (these are just two examples of how our society works).


The truth is: this is their standart of beauty and it has absolutely nothing to with the reality. With you.

No one’s really accepting anything. It’s not real. We need to change this and tell or siblings and cousins and future children thatthey are beautiful the way they are. The way their hair is.

True self-acceptance doesn’t mean “This is how I’m supposed to be“, it’s “This is who I am. I won’t change. I know I’m not perfect, but yet I am still enough.”

“Alright, but how can I actively take care of myself?” – you might ask.

Well, here are

5 Ways how to take care of yourself

1. What you speak over yourself is what you become so start speaking life and success and anything nice over yourself.

You won’t believe this, but it’s true. Your (mental) life and death, your failure and your success – everything is in the power of your tongue. If you live in self-doubt, if you struggle with self-acceptane go and stand in front of your mirror and tell yourself

you are enough, you are beautiful just the way you are, you are smart,you are ambitious, you are cute, you are not afraid to for it.

Your mind will believe what you continuously tell it, so speak this over yourself.

2. Become self-confident in who you are

No one can give you self-confidence, neither your mom not your dad, not your friends, nor your boyfriend or your girlfriend, not your job or your status. No one. These are all factors that change, they are not constant so you gotta choose whether you want to dependant on what others say about you or whether you want to be independent and confident in who you are no matter what they tell you. It must come from within.

3. Don’t compare yourself to others

This truly is a lesson that took me a long time to understand: you are unique in all your ways. No one is you. Don’t strive to be like someone else, strive to be the very best version of yourself.

4. Surround yourself with people who speak positivity over yourself

Your friends reflect who you are so start surrounding yourself with people who speak positive things over you, peple who don’t tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. People who like to see you grow, people who invest in you, people who make you better.

5. Last but not least, take at least 30 mins everyday for yourself!

This is probably one of the most important points. Take care of yourself guys. You can’t become the best version of yourself if you forget to take care of yourself.

Take your time everyday either in the morning or in the evening and create a routine. Invest in yourself: read a book, do some manicure, workout or take some spiritual time.

I honestly believe that each one of these steps is so powerful and with these steps you really become the best version of yourself and get to live life to the fullest.
