I act out.
I do a lot of stupid things.
I’m terrified because I know that there’s gotta be a God, but I don’t know if I’m good enough for him.
No matter what I do, there might be some reason why I’ll end up in hell….
Sin does separate us from God. It makes him feel far away from us. Every single time we act out or do something stupid, the safety of knowing that God is here gets smaller and smaller and the gap between us and God gets bigger and bigger. That’s when the separation takes place and it’s mostly in this time that Satan get’s in this gap with all his anxiety and doubts, trying to replace and fill the hole within us, that only God can fill. He tries to pull us down by making us believe that God can’t and won’t ever forgive us, that we aren’t in the presence of God and can’t ever be, and that God won’t ever use and call us to serve him, because we are too dirty to him. His goal is to make us abandon God, because he knows the blessings and richness God has for us through His calling.
But the fact is, that God did not just come to forgive us, to bring us in the presence of God, to call us to serve him on this earth. No! He did something much better – he said: ‘I did not come for those who are found, but for those who are lost.’
WOW!!! What a powerful sentence. ‘ I did not come for those who are found, but for those who are lost.’ – but who are those lost people he mentioned? Those Lost people are just sinners like me and you, who do whatever is wrong. Because whoever sins is lost in the world and it’s seductions. But it’s by His grace, that you as you already accepted Christ in your life, are have been saved. Now you can overcome these ‘act outs’ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and not only overcome ‘act outs’ but overcome every sin. And that means that you can overcome Satan and all his doubts and anxiety he brings into your life.
We are warriors on our knees.
If Satan comes and fights you with feelings of anxiety and doubt, you have to fight back in prayer! Because he won’t leave you, till you’re down. But one thing he forgot is that by the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to destroy any evil, anxious and quizzical thoughts. And that God loves us.
Let me tell you something:
You are the child of the one true king, saved, changed and set free.
2. Corinthians 12:9 says: “My power works best in weakness.” – So whenever you feel enfeebled by this doubts and anxiety, know that this strong God who’s inside of you makes you strong. When our power ends, that’s where his begins. No matter what kind of weakness you’re going through – when you’re weak in the Spirit, weak in the flesh, too weak to be able to destroy your inner anxiety and doubts – know that the one inside of you is powerful. He’s always leading, protecting and guarding your left and right. He loves you. He loves you so much that he gave His life for you, and he’d do it again and again.
“Do not be afraid, for the LORD your God is among you, and he is a great and awesome God.” ( Deuteronomy 7:21 ) – So, who and what can you fear when he’s among you?
I hope this can help someone out there,
